Some golf club manufacturers have been around for ever others like Callaway Golf started just over 25 years ago and quickly became the number one selling golf club in the World. Then there are companies that are barely six years young that are relatively unknown but who offer the most innovative, well built, and cheapest golf clubs in the golf industry. I am talking about custom made golf clubs by G.R.I.P. (Golf Research In Play).
In 2002, G.R.I.P.’s founder, Rob Blumberg, started to research the recreational golf market. After studying every aspect of the recreational golfers needs, income level, frequency of play, as well as analyzing all the other golf club manufacturers, he realized that there was a market for well made, innovative, cheap golf clubs that made golf enjoyable. Before G.R.I.P. came along, the recreational golfer could only buy very expensive top brand name golf clubs or cheap and poorly made golf clubs.
By responding to the middle market recreational golfers’ needs, Rob set out the following goals for launching G.R.I.P.:
