Backyard Golf Practice Tips

posted in Golf Lessons |

As with most sports, if you want to get better, you have to practice. Golf is obviously no exception and the old saying holds true - practice makes perfect. Today, I am going to give you some backyard golf practice tips so that you get the most out of your golf practice.

Instead of doing some backyard golf practice, you could go to your local driving range. But the benefits of practicing golf in your backyard are that you can do it everyday for an hour. Obviously you will need some golf practice aids, unless you have a 350 by 50 yard backyard!

So, what do you need to for backyard golf practice? Basically, you will need golf practice mats and golf practice cages or a golf driving net. There are even some people that set their mat and net inside, but you would need a fairly large room for that.

When practicing golf you should take your time with each shot, just like you would on the golf course. Go through your normal pre-shot routine and focus on each shot. If you have a problem with slicing your tee shots, practice with your driver and try to correct the fault.

There is one problem with golf practice though, whether it is at the driving range or your own backyard golf practice set up. Ideally, you want to get into a rhythm when you are hitting 50 or so golf balls so that you can find your perfect stroke and practice it. But your golf practice routine is broken every time you hit the ball; you have to bend down and place the next ball on the tee.

Here are some golf practice tips - get yourself an automatic golf ball teeing and dispensing machine. The market leaders in these golf practice aids are Teego Golf. Just image you have hit one ball and you just tap a ball release trigger with the head of your club and another ball is set up on the tee for you.

With the Teego Tee Up Machine you will be able to focus on your golf swing. The only way to improve in golf is to build up muscle motion memory through repetition. This can’t be done with normal golf practice where you have to break the repetition of the golf swing by bending down to place another ball on the tee.

Sam Snead once said; “Practice puts brains in your muscles.” Well, now with the Teego you can really teach your muscles the correct motion that is needed for the perfect golf swing.

Some of the characteristics of the Teego machine are:
” One touch triggering
” Natural surface compatible
” Quick load ball magazine
” 150 golf ball capacity
” Lightweight and portable
” Durable

Also, Teego offer the other golf practice aids that you need for backyard golf practice; practice mats and practice nets. Do yourself and your golf game a favour and go check out the Teego Golf practice aids today. I can guarantee that they will make a big difference with your golf game.
