Top 6 Methods Teach You How To Hit A Golf Ball Straight

posted in Golf Swing |

Previously on this blog I reviewed 6 different methods that teach you how to hit a golf ball straight down the middle of the fairway. Each one had a different take on the proper golf swing to use to take your game to the next level. There are many more methods, but these 6 are all recommended; it all depends on which method will work for you.

I would like to give you a resume of all 6 methods so that you can compare them side by side. Most of them guarantee you will develop more distance, consistency, and accuracy with your golf swing. Some guarantee that you will lower your handicap by at least 7 strokes. So, what have you got to loose? Just choose the method that you feel more comfortable with and take your game to the next level.

Golf Swing Guru

Here are some statistics about David Nevogt and his book Golf Swing Guru; his book has been sold in 36 countries on 7 continents; he has helped over 16,000 golfers in the last 3 years; there is a 95% success rate for golfers using his system; bogey golfers have managed to lower their handicap by at least 7 strokes in only 2 rounds of golf; the average improvement actually is 12 strokes.

David’s system is all about achieving consistency. If you can consistently make a solid impact, hit a golf ball straight, and hit the ball longer, then how many shots per round could you save? He teaches you how to use the spine as an axis to keep you on the correct golf swing plane; the correct hand action for more distance; and the correct timing for straighter shots.

Golf Swing Eureka

Jon Barrett discovered that psychologists believe that we learn differently as adults than we do when we were children. Unfortunately for us, the golf swing is actually illogical to our adult minds. That’s where the problem stems from. In our heads we can’t actually accept or believe that that is how the golf swing works. We then trust our instinct and test it against our rules and go back to what we believe is logical.

Here is what is illogical about the golf swing: A Golf Swing without Effort = A Powerful 300 yard drive. Pros do actually put effort into their swings to get the ball to go that far BUT they put it in at a completely different point in the swing to amateur golfers. In the book Golf Swing Eureka, Jon Barrett OPENS your EYES to how the golf swing actually works – much of which us amateurs don’t appreciate. Understanding is the 1st key to unlocking your golfing potential.

Golf Instruction 2.0

When Australian golf coaching expert, Cameron Strachan lost his way with his golf swing, he wanted to know how to fix it. He teamed up with a group of sports biomechanics to analyze the biomechanics of the golf swing to better understand the golf swing, scientifically. The result was a swing model that he adapted for everyday golfers that will revolutionize the way golfers learn the game.

* The only true way to apply power in the golf stroke
* How to apply that power without causing injury
* The unknown and never before method of reducing and even curing a slice
* The secret and scientific method of hitting the ball longer and straighter
* How Ernie Els has such great timing and what you can do right now to copy him
* A better understanding of swing plane

Cameron put all the information together into a package he calls Golf Instruction 2.0; a total golf learning system. It is based on sound scientific analysis transformed into a practical, easy to understand, and easy to implement system.

The New Four Magic Moves

In the book called The New Four Magic Moves by Andy Brown, Joe Dante and Len Elliot, you will learn that there are indeed four “magic” moves that will dramatically cut strokes off your handicap. They first go over how you must wipe the board clean and start anew, and continue with the most important part; eliminating errors. As they point out, it is not a succession of great shots that make for a good round of golf; it is the elimination of errors that produces results.

The swing is then broken down into four chapters; the backswing, at the top, starting down, and through the ball. Each part shows you what not to do and more importantly you will learn the “magic move” that you have to do on each part of the swing - moves that will definitely improve your distance, accuracy, and consistency - resulting in a drop of 7 - 12 shots off your handicap.

The ABC Of Golf

Mauritz Leen, is a fully qualified professional since 1981 and currently holds a Class A membership in the PGA, on three different continents; Europe, Australia, and Africa. His book The Golf Rascal’s ABC Of Golf is taking America by storm because it doesn’t focus on improving your swing; it helps improve your score, not by improving your technique, but by helping you understand the concept of each shot and allowing your own unique technique to evolve and mature.

His approach is revolutionary in that he teaches how to use your own style and add just a couple of his concepts to your game. There are only two concepts that Mauritz wants you to focus on; alignment and the short game. You get to keep your own grip, swing, and style. The ABC of Golf was written for beginners and casual golfers and gives you just the simplest rules that can be followed by anyone to cut strokes, lower handicaps, and keep your own swing, grip, and style.

The Simple Swing

The simple golf swing system is called The Symple Swing and was developed by Joe Davidson. The premise behind the Symple Swing is that it is simple, efficient, and much easier to learn than any other golf swing. If you are just beginning to learn golf – the simple swing is for you. Even if you are a more experienced golfer, but would like to learn a more efficient, accurate, and consistent swing – the simple swing is for you.

It is truly the next generation in achieving a simple power swing. There are only 3 basic parts which makes it very easy to learn; in fact it can be learned in one day. It is a complete swing, in other words, it works from the tee to the green. You will learn how to hit the ball further, straighter, with more accuracy, fix a slice, achieve a one swing plane, and do it all consistently.

Summary

So, which golf swing instructional guide will work for you? Just choose the one that makes more sense to you and stick with it. I must say that all 6 of these methods work really well, it all depends on which one you are more comfortable with.
