Discover The Stack and Tilt Golf Swing

posted in Golf Swing |

The “stack and tilt” golf swing is a relatively new or modern swing that is gaining popularity. I must admit that I have never tried it, probably because I am old school and don’t want to mess with my swing that took so many years to perfect. If you are just starting out or if you are not happy with your traditional swing, then here is an overview of the Stack and Tilt golf swing so that you can decide if you want to try it out.

The Stack and Tilt golf swing was developed by swing instructors Andy Plummer and Mike Bennett after 20 years of research. The Stack & Tilt has been described as a revolutionary golf swing that keeps your weight stacked over the ball for pure contact shot after shot. There are other golf swing gurus, though, who don’t advocate changing over to it.

Today, more than 20 PGA pros are using the Stack and Tilt golf swing including the likes of Aaron Baddeley and Mike Weir. I suppose as more well known pros start using this swing, then more golf instructors will be teaching the Stack and Tilt. Until then, if you are interested in learning more, you will find one very comprehensive DVD guide called GetStacked DVD series.

Basically then, here is what the Stack and Tilt golf swing can do for any golfer: The swing is very easy in nature and it produces a more compact, clean swing, with less moving body parts and more consistency. It makes it easier to make contact with the sweet spot of the golf club; this will enable you to produce a straighter, longer, and more consistent golf swing.

The Address Position

The difference between the Stack and Tilt golf swing is that you address the ball with the weight chiefly on your left foot (for right handed golfers.) As you begin your back swing, more weight is transferred to your left foot - basically there is no weight transfer as the weight stays on the left foot throughout the golf swing. Even with a driver, with the Stack and Tilt, the ball is positioned further to the middle of the stance. Also, the golfer’s hips will be in a more horizontal plane as opposed to the traditional swing where the hips are tilted at an angle.

The Top Of The Backswing

With the Stack and Tilt, the backswing is somewhat shorter than the tradition. The center of the shoulders and hips are in a straight line; this is where the “Stack” comes into it. In a traditional golf swing, the shoulders would be centered over the right hip. The “Tilt” refers to the angle of the spine which is ever so slightly tilted towards the target.

The Impact Position

The head position at impact will be over the ball, whereas traditionally, the head is behind the ball. The hips will still be on a level plane while the traditional golfer’s hips will have even more tilt than at the address position.

The Stack and Tilt DVD Series

As you can appreciate, it is not easy to describe what is going on throughout the Stack and Tilt golf swing. If you are interested in perfecting this swing, then take a look at the GetStacked DVD series. With this DVD Series you will learn the Stack & Tilt swing directly from the creators of the Stack and Tilt golf swing - professional swing instructors Andy Plummer and Mike Bennett - the same instructors that have taught Aaron Baddeley and Mike Weir.

So if you are struggling with your traditional swing or you just want to try an easier swing that promises more consistency, accuracy, and distance, then get the GetStacked DVD series which includes four DVD’s for the price of one.
