Golf Swing Teaching Aids – The Explanar
posted in Golf Training |
The golf swing is something that needs to be taught, needs to be practiced, and needs to be perfected. Unfortunately, the golf swing is a relatively difficult and, some say, unnatural movement. If you are a beginner going through golf lessons and getting nowhere except more frustrated, then you should consider golf swing teaching aids.
Even the golfer who has been playing for a while and still hasn’t mastered a consistent golf swing should take a look at golf swing teaching aids. The problem is that there are hundreds of golf swing aids available and more come out every month. I must say that a lot of these swing aids are just a gimmick but there are some gems out there.
Today I want to introduce you to one golf swing teaching aid that has impressed me greatly. It is called the Explaner and it is one serious piece of golf training equipment. The Explanar is a complete training system incorporating the swing plane, the biomechanics of the golf swing, and a fitness training aid.
Developed by PGA professional Luther Blacklock, the Explanar is a full hoop which you step inside; you then rest a weighted Power Roller on the hoop, take your normal grip and stance, and you then practice your golf swing. Butch Harmon of The Butch Harmon School of Golf endorses The Explanar. He finds it easier to teach his students by getting them to use the Explanar, because, as he says, it works. Australian PGA golfer, Mark Hensby also swears by the Explaner, which helped him reach his top form again after a serious road accident in 2005 left him in 345th in the world rankings.
Unlike the driving range, where you might practice and have a few good swings, you can’t take that swing to the course as you can’t easily replicate the same swing again and again. The Explanar works by repeating the perfect swing which builds muscle memory; as it is designed to be adjusted perfectly to your height, the swing plane that you will be reproducing is constant and so you will learn the proper swing through repetition.
Also, because it uses a weighted roller, you will ingrain the proper swing plane into your muscles that much more easily – this is just as important for golfers that have developed a poor swing and want to eradicate deep-rooted faults. For the beginner golfer it is an excellent means to start of on the right track.
The other benefit of the Explanar system is as a golf fitness trainer. By training regularly on the Explanar you will target the muscles specifically used in the golf swing. Just 10 minutes a day will dramatically improve your core stability and an increased level of rotation. Your forearms and legs will also feel the benefit of the Power Roller as your muscles are gently extended and developed. You should see a positive change in your physical appearance over time.
After using the Explanar, customers from all over the World have reported up to 30 yards increase with their drivers, hitting 280 yard drives straight down the middle of the fairway, dropping 14 shots in a very short period of time, and golfers of all levels breaking 100, 90, and even 80 for the first time in their lives.
In summary, not only will the Explanar promote a consistent swing plane every time, it will improve your balance, power, distance, accuracy, and ultimately lower your score dramatically and help build your confidence. As far as golf swing teaching aids go, The Explanar is the number one item of golf training equipment that every serious golfer should own.
