Introduction
“As golf is a complex game and quite difficult to learn, apart from the so called “naturals,” most golfers need all the help they can get. The problem is that the golf swing gurus tell you that all you need is their golf swing guide or video; the golf equipment manufacturers tell you that all you need is their latest $500 driver; the golf fitness training gurus tell you need to be fit to golf to improve; the mental golf coaches tell you that their methods are all that is needed; and the golf training aids manufacturers insist that the way to better golf is by using their golf aids.”
“So, which group are right? Individually, none of them, collectively, all of them. In other words, golf is a complete package. If you have the perfect game but had to use a stick and a stone like the Scots did hundreds of years ago, I don’t think you would be making many birdies! On the other hand, if you had the same golf clubs and golf balls that Tiger Woods uses but you are a complete beginner, I don’t think you will be splitting the fairway with 380 yard drives! The same holds true for golfers that don’t implement mental game techniques in their game of golf or that can’t even bend down and place the ball on the tee.”
“If you are a beginner you need to start off on the right foot, and even if you are a more advanced golfer that is trying to break 90 or 80, you need to consider all the options for playing golf to your maximum. You see, playing great golf is about many things:”
- Using the correct golf equipment for your game
- Learning the proper golf swing technique
- Understanding the importance of the mental game of golf
- Being at a reasonable level of fitness and flexibility
- Knowing your faults and weaknesses and what to do about it
“The idea behind Golf Reviews is to review and go over many different golf products and services so that you can see what is available. I will try to go over as many products / services as possible, but I will be concentrating on the better ones first. For example, in the golf training aids category, there are hundreds of golf aids available, so I can’t review every single one. Instead I will review the ones that have had positive user feedback or ones that I know work through personal experience.”
“I have just added a ratings gadget at the bottom of the comments box. Feel free to not only leave a comment but also a rating (1 to 5 stars), especially on the review posts. That would give the product or service that I am reviewing a genuine user generated rating based on user experience.”
“Feel free to contact me with any questions, suggestions, or any other feedback.
