This is the only time you hang back on your back foot while striking the ball……

Ron’s Passive Golf Method is about rotating the core of your body and following the eye line through the swing. This is the same swing method Tiger Woods has been talking about converting to due to the stress of his heavy tourqing. This is also the same swing that Ana Sorenstam has been using for the last few years.

Yes, rotating the head with the turn of the right shoulder along with a passive grip as well as a loaded left side (irons and fairway woods) is what Ron del Barrios Passive golf swing is all about.

    distance doesn’t …
distance doesn’t matter if it is not in the fairway…that being said, strive to hit the ball off of the tee as far as you can only if you can control it. I have played with seniors that bore you to death hitting it 210 off of the tee and one putting you to death and taking your money!

Ron, when are you going to post more tips?!? Haha I’m sure you’re busy, but it seems that everyone has loved your videos, and it has helped a lot of people, including me. My iron shots are absolutely beautiful, and I attribute that to you. My drives are something I’d love to be able to hit more consistently though. I hope to see more videos of you teaching us the passive golf method.

    Howdy noah2me,
In the traditional swing (the swing I was taught) it was a sin to do anything other than keep your left arm straight! What we have learned in the last 50 years with bio-mechanics and how the human body works, that is a thing of the past. Now, I am not saying bend the ^$@( out of the left arm but if you are passive and the left arm bends a little as a result of the softness, more whip through the hitting area which would create more club head speed! It’s your choice

I bought my first set of golf clubs yesterday. Played pitch n putt all my life but never even held a driver before. Went to the driving range today and could not lift the ball more than three feet off the ground with the driver. I was getting distances of 175 along the ground. Didnt realise i had to align the tee with my left foot. Is this the only trick to getting height!? Looking forward to trying the tips tomorrow. Best golf lesson on youtube by a mile. Thanks for the vid!

    Howdy seok053,
I see your point and I totally agree with what you are saying. I have received hundreds of emails regarding all of the video clips with golfers pointing out issues with the verbage as it relates to the video instruction. The longest clip on the website is under 3 minutes and it’s more of an overall view because there is no way a golf swing can be taught in 3 hours much less 3 minutes. Obviously you’re a golfer and I’m sure you would agree with me on that! Thanks for your comment!

great tip, but one point i dont think its acceptable: after impact, hanging on backward. That means u didnt transfer ur weight properly to forward, and that causes u to lose distance
