What I would suggest to you is to take lessons. These are pros that have devoted their lives to learning the game of golf. Also, search the web, it is FULL of swing tips. Youtube is another great resource. Try those out!

I’ve looked through hundreds if not a thousand + videos on youtube for trying to look for methods to refine my swing. Alot of them are home-made or clips from the PGA tour and it can be hard to actually find something useful. I stumbled across Shawn Clement in one video and something about his analogies just made sense. I’ve used a few of his methods and have had great success in my swing. I find him highly easy to understand and a great "teacher". I hope he can help you. I will attach his personal website and his list of Youtube swing instructions (he has alot). I recommend watching all of them (about 10 mins each) just for the chance of learning something useful.

Take a couple of basic lessons starting with the grip, stance, ball position and the swing plane. Chances are if these are all co-related you will have a good base from which to work. The swing plane is the path the club will take from the time you start your back swing to the finish when your belt buckle faces the target you selected.Videos, instruction books are all good but as a beginner you need someone to observe your swing and make the necessary corrections. How do you know whether your club path is correct.
